Dayara Bugyal Himalayan Trek

Dayara Bugyal Himalayan Trek

Hitting 12,000 feet now, with a relatively steep climb, we reached Gui Camp, where the skyline was radiant with snow capped mountains. Jayram, our escort told us, 'Pahad ka mausam, aur city ka fashion, kab badal jaye, koi hisab nahi' And there we were faced with the fierce sun and sudden showers.

Starting with a relatively steep ascent, we made our way towards Gui Camp. A small settlement of 2 or 3 families only. The steadiness of the mountains and harshness of the landscape makes the pahadi locals robust and full of vital energies to run up and down several kms in the day.

The textures of the nature was far beyond conception. Delicate, strong, towering, sheltering.

Meeting with the sweetest local ladies

Camping in tents... hearing the sweet bells of the khacchars and cows all night.

Sunrise with Asana practice on top of the mountain, set in the valley.

Fresh breath of Praan energy

Here was my bathing place, overlooking the sun, with a couple of warm lota waters.

Walk through the forest next day to reach the Dayara Summit

Lined with beautiful pine and deodhar trees, there is a magic in the air.

Views open up to beautiful vistas of the ice capped mountains. Water collection for the wild animals.

Path is studded with beautiful Buransh flowers of various hues.
