Yamunotri River - Yaman Raag

As we climbed past 10,000 feet towards Yamunotri temple, the air grew noticeably thinner. Making way through the thinning air, as oxygen levels drop. Effort is perceived at every step. But bigger than the body is the mind, and bigger than the mind is the breath. The pranayam practice was a direct application here, where top lung inhalation seemed like the best way out.

Strangely in the middle of this, Raag Yaman came to my mind, and as I was singing it aloud, the efforts ceased, and there was a high energy frequency. When our friend, Sandeep looked up, only to know a nexus between River Yamuna, and Rag Yaman. Kal, Desh, Patra, Sur.. all interconnected and integrated.

The journey upwards was punctuated with the beautiful Buransh flowers native to the Himalayan region, and thanks to our escort team - Jayram and Sandeep who helped the group make it all the way to the top!

As we reached up, the kiwad was closed, but we had heartfelt l darshan of Hanuman ji, an ever powerful deity. The Surya Kund was bubbling with heat energy, as a benediction to all that come receive rice cooked in the kund.

Upon descent, there was a surge of energy, and I was literally running down. Yamuna River - the river of devotion - liquid love of Radha and Krishna. What can I say?
